Just a bit about me, my background, and my experience... 


I have been in education for more than 20 years. I have taught high school equivalency, college-level courses, and vocational studies. I earned an Associate in Business Administration from Finger Lakes Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College, and a Master of Science in Management from Keuka College. In addition, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience with training and professional development. Presently I am the Coordinator of the Business and Information Technology Department at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center. How much is the course? Are there additional costs?
$249 Per Seat. Textbooks are embedded in the course. NECC Certification exam is included in the online course. Students receive two attempts to earn their certification. Additional attempts cost $35. Owners of a 9-1-1 Reality Simulator receive a complimentary NECC Instructor certification with purchase. Additional Instructor certifications and Non-Owner certifications cost $350. Certification is nationally recognized and never expires.
How was this course created?
An advisory board of 9-1-1 professional educators created this curriculum using a DACUM process at Renton Technical College. Sue Pivetta, a teacher of the 500-hour vocational education course and former Comm Center Supervisor, wrote the textbook.
How long is the course?
The length of the course is determined by the school, college or Comm Center. The only requirement is that all 10 units of study are covered in the course leading to the final NECC exam.
Can individual learners sign up for this course?
No, we do not instruct individuals. We can connect you to schools both private and public that you can enroll in the course. If there is not one in your area you can contact your local college or high school and tell them about this course. Contact us at support@911trainer.com.
