NECC National Emergency Communications Exam Part 1 - Knowledge
This 132 question multiple choice exam is a 'certification' for the 9-1-1 Academy Curriculum. The exam must be proctored in person to be validated by the National Emergency Communications Certification Board. This certification was the result of a process with Professional Testing Corporation of NYC and a coalition of 9-1-1 professional educators. What the certification demonstrates is that the person holding the certification has the entry level 'knowledge' needed to begin training in the Comm Center setting. There is an additional part to this certification that is a 'skills' exam proctored by the instructor in a lab setting. The learner must handle 3 9-1-1 calls to the satisfaction of the instructor.
